NHS Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group have released the rest of the dates of their public meetings for 2017. The meetings are held in different places in the borough to make sure as many people as possible are able to attend. The meetings are generally run between 9.30am to 12.30pm.


Members of the public are able to submit any questions about what the Clinical Commissioning Group are doing in their locality, they ask that anybody attending the meeting signs

Project to uncover Barnsley’s hidden LGBT history wins National Lottery support
2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and a local group have received a grant of £7,000 thanks to National Lottery players to find out more about the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Barnsley.
The project, called ‘Uncovered’, is seeking to reveal a hidden aspect of Barnsley’s heritage and is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).
